KEMET offers a wide range of Rectifier & DC power supply solutions featuring various topologies, including thyristor rectifiers with 6-pulse and 12-pulse configurations, as well as IGBT designs. Our product range includes lamp rectifiers, battery buffered rectifiers (DC UPS), switched-mode rectifiers, and PFC rectifiers. These KEMET rectifiers cater to industries such as telecommunications, data centers, oil and gas, petrochemicals, and heavy industries.
We continuously refine our technologies to meet market demands, focusing on compact and economical solutions. Our rectifier & DC power supply systems allow for customization to fit different applications, including those needing operation under high temperatures or conditions of shock and vibration.
Thyristor Rectifiers
UP-TO-DATE TECHNOLOGY AND SECURE POWER SUPPLY:
KEMET’s thyristor rectifiers typically use B6C circuit configurations. You can also choose optional fully controlled 12-pulse rectifier bridges for specialized needs. The control board features an AVR microcontroller with ISP flash and CAN controller, serving as the core of the thyristor control system. This setup includes essential control interfaces and an RS 232 interface for external computer connections.
USE AS UPS SYSTEM FEASIBLE:
By combining these thyristor-controlled rectifiers with batteries, you ensure an uninterruptible DC power supply (UPS systems / DC-UPS systems). This setup protects high-performance electrical DC consumers from grid failures. You can use both lead-acid and nickel-cadmium batteries for energy storage. These rectifiers provide high reliability and include comprehensive monitoring capabilities. The electronic control of output voltage follows the IU characteristic according to DIN 41773, ensuring efficient charging of connected batteries. Programmable characteristics include IUI, IUU, and IUU/T.
Application Areas for DC Power Supply Systems with Thyristor Technology:
- Transformer stations.
- Power plants.
- Oil and gas industries.
- Shipping and rail transport.
- Telecommunication and Data Center.
Modular Rectifiers & DC power supply for Telecommunications and Data Centers
KEMET provides switched-mode rectifiers specifically for telecommunications and data centers, available in output voltages of 12 V, 24 V, 48 V, or 60 V. These modular rectifiers excel in power supply or charging applications. When paired with batteries, they deliver an optimal uninterruptible DC supply for critical loads.
You can easily install the modular versions in control cabinets. The 19-inch rack-mounted models feature a robust steel sheet frame for durability and protection in demanding environments. Both configurations guarantee high efficiency, reliability, and low noise operation.
We custom-manufacture these systems to meet specific application needs. Our dedicated sales and engineering teams are ready to assist with any inquiries!
Battery Chargers for Submarine Batteries
KEMET’s charging and discharging rectifiers for submarine batteries enable fully automated charging and discharging up to 950 VDC with currents reaching 3000 A. During discharging, the system can feed the battery’s power back into the grid in an eco-friendly manner. We offer this technology in cabinets, mobile trailers, or standard-sized steel containers. Output voltages and currents adjust to fit specific applications or submarine types. Containers may include air conditioning and can feature CSC approval or specialized protection ratings.
Single Cell Treatment
Our single-cell treatment units manage periodic gas charging and cell formatting. They automatically discharge and recharge up to three single cells to restore those that have lost capacity. This automated system operates without the need for manual supervision.
Lamp Rectifiers
We provide lamp rectifiers optimized for various applications, including cinemas, laboratories, and industrial settings. These rectifiers deliver reliable power to specialized equipment, such as plasma torches, ensuring consistent performance across diverse environments.
